Meet our Instructor:

Spanish Instructor Marisol Gutierrez

¡Hola! I was born in Chile and I have been living in New Zealand for more than 7 years since I did a postgraduate degree at Waikato University. I worked as a business Engineer for 15 years, and since 2014 I have been working as a Yoga instructor, and as an early childhood education teacher. I have always loved languages, and I speak Spanish, English and some French. I am passionate about sharing my love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture with students. I believe that the key to successful language acquisition is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to practice their language skills and explore new cultural perspectives.
