Description:

Hebrew 103: Introductory Hebrew, Part 3

  • • This is Part 3 of our four-part Introductory Hebrew course taught over 4 school terms specifically designed for Hebrew learners. Our language and culture courses focus on teaching and learning only, and we do not expect you to study outside of class nor do we usually assign homework (unless you'd like some!). Come and spend 12 class hours per Term (eight 1.5 hour weekly classes) learning Hebrew and about Israeli culture, and have some fun too! All of our language classes are designed for busy people.

  • • Introductory Hebrew 103 classes continue the foundation of our Hebrew 101-102 courses with continued practice reading and speaking Hebrew. During this Term we continue to emphasise reading printed Hebrew (עִבְרִית), while focusing on conversation, grammar, and vocabulary.

  • • Subsequent Term courses continue with Introductory Hebrew (i.e. our Hebrew 104 courses) and continue to include additional reading and comprehension practice, grammar, vocabulary, and conversation. Subsequent courses in this series continue in the same time slot for the duration of the full course.

He also served as a Captain in the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). Benny moved to New Zealand in 1982, becoming a New Zealand citizen in 1984. He graduated from the University of Waikato with an LLB degree in 1994 and an LLM in 2007. For many years he worked for the New Zealand Transport Agency, both in planning and in a legal capacity. Benny is now partly retired, keeping himself busy with Ellys Physio and teaching Hebrew in his spare time.
