Meet our Instructor:

Arabic Instructor Ruqayyah Al-Musallam

My name is Ruqayyah Ahmed Al-Musallam. I studied Arabic at King Faisal University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have taught many students Arabic over the years. I am returning to work after a few years raising my family and have been studying English at the University of Waikato and at Wintec. Arabic is one of the most spoken languages in the world and I hope you will enjoy your studies. I am pleased that you are interested in learning Arabic and I look forward to seeing you in class soon.

However, distance learners will need access to a desktop or laptop computer with a good quality web-camera (tablet devices and mobile phones can also access our live-streamed classes), a built-in microphone (most modern laptops have built-in microphones) or a headset with a microphone. You will also need to download and install the free Zoom software on your computer or device. Those accessing the video recordings will be able to do so with a simple web browser on any device.
